The KINTREX SCL0625 Digital Kitchen Scale is a highly accurate food scale that easily measures ingredients directly on the tempered glass platform, in a bowl, or on a plate. Bought this scale as it has gotten very positive initial reviews. Out of the box I was fairly happy. Seemed accurate, although the touch buttons were a bit hard to work with and the platform wasn’t quite as big as i would have liked.
The big problem that I have run into is the batteries. This scale clearly was not designed for the US market as it takes those coin batteries. I had a heck of a time locating them, and when I did they cost me a small fortune.
Bottom line is invest in a scale with AA or AAA batteries. My guess is that they will last longer and comparable scales that are $5-$10 more will save you $$$ over their lifetimes.

Ideal for an amateur breadbaker in a 64-sq.ft kitchen without very much counter space to spare. This scale is accurate and easy to store, and even looks good.

Quite pleased with this scale. It is smartly designed, easy to use, easy to clean, and fairly priced (I believe I paid about $20). I have been using it daily for four months to prepare formula and have had no battery issues or other malfunctions. I’d never heard of “Kintrex” before, but that doesn’t concern me any longer.

This is a very nice kitchen scale. I use it almost every day. It works just as described above. It is quite thin and sleek, so it should store easily. The glass top cleans pretty easily. To tare (ie, “zero out”) the scale, just place your bowl on the scale and press the tare button. Add an ingredient, and press power again to re-tare for the next ingredient, and so on. Another button switches between lbs/ozs, fl ozs, ml, and g. The batteries are unusual, but not that hard to find online or at any department store that sells watches. Great value for the money.
