Sweet Irresistible Gourmet Chocolate

Not everyone has a love for chocolate, but for many of those who do it is virtually irresistible. Gourmet chocolates have a special texture that just melts in your mouth. Gourmet chocolate is full of richness that no other chocolate can give you. Most gourmet chocolate lovers are only interested in chocolate not a Reese bar with peanut butter and chocolate. There are gourmet chocolates to fulfill any chocolates lovers’ sweet tooth.

The main differences between different delectable chocolates are the different cocoa’s that the gourmet chocolate is made from. The addition of flavorings has made a big difference in the types of gourmet chocolates in the world today. Who would have thought that strawberries, raspberries and black berries would be some of the world famous flavors in chocolates?

Truffles of all flavors, shapes and sizes are also available for those who have that love for gourmet chocolate. Whether you have a love for dark, milk or white chocolate it is all available out there for you to devour. Boxes of gourmet chocolates are also available. Either plain chocolate or ones filled with your favorite filling. Once you start into a box it is hard to stop.

Diabetic Friendly Chocolate Sweetened with Xylitol

Americans love chocolate. In fact, millions of us are admitted “chocoholics.” U.S. chocolate consumption is around 3.3 billion pounds per year, according to the National Confectioners Association. That’s nearly 12 pounds for every man, woman and child in the nation.

But for more than 21 million Americans with diabetes, forbidden treats – such as luscious dark chocolate truffles – are not part of a healthy diet. Many of us believe that sinfully sweet indulgences must be unhealthy, especially for diabetics. Or are they?

The good news is that recent clinical studies show some types of chocolates actually have significant health benefits. Dark chocolates, particularly those made with minimal processing, are high in flavonoids, which are plant compounds with potent antioxidant properties. Antioxidants are known to gobble up free radicals – the killer compounds that harm cell membranes, damage the heart, attack DNA, cause aging, and make heart attacks and cancer far more likely.

It may surprise you to know that dark chocolate actually has more antioxidants per gram than red wine, green tea, peanuts, cranberries, apples, and many other fruits and vegetables that also are rich in antioxidants.

Dark Chocolate Health Benefits: Show Me the Chocolate

If you consider yourself to be a “chocoholic,” there is some beneficial news for you: some chocolate is not only not as unhealthy as previously suggested, but numerous doctors now actually inspire the populace to devour it. One specific type of chocolate can be beneficial to your gums, eyes, heart, arteries and even your entire immune system. It can also help lower cholesterol levels and balance both blood pressure and blood sugar. However, before you run out to buy candy bars in bulk, know that not just any type of chocolate will yield such benefits.

Dark chocolate, created from natural cocoa beans, has been recommended for consumption even up to three times a day. This is because the cocoa bean is the food with the highest levels of antioxidants ever, which protect the body from oxidative stress involved with aging. Other foods, such as red wine, tea, and select few fruits and vegetables also offer similar health benefits, but cocoa still tops them all when it comes to the sheer number of antioxidants. These antioxidant compounds are called flavanols, which presumably give dark chocolate its health benefits.

A Hot Chocolate Themed Kitchen

Chocolate is a wonderfully versatile theme that can transform your kitchen into a cozy nook reminiscent of the comfort of hot chocolate.

The milk and dark browns of true chocolate and the creamy white of white chocolate are great colors to decorate your kitchen in. Find color accents from the foods and spices that go with chocolate: vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, chilis. The original cocoa bean comes in colors that range from yellow to red. You’re trying to evoke the richness of hot chocolate with all the trimmings: whipped cream, sprinklings of cinnamon and nutmeg and even some hot chili accents.

The advantage of chocolate themes is that you can go dark or light. If your kitchen is smaller, you might want to try a creamy white like white chocolate, vanilla or whipped cream for the walls. You can even spritz some cinnamon or nutmeg sprinkles on the walls to give them that whipped-cream-on-hot-chocolate look. Patterned wallpaper that combines chocolate colors might also be a good option. A chocolate-brown-and-white stripe might work. If the kitchen is large and well-lighted, a chocolate brown color on the walls may not be too much. Use your knowledge of your space to make the right decision.

Baileys Chocolate Mousse ? an Easy & Very Indulgent Dessert

Chocolate mousse recipes abound in all shapes and sizes, some are complicated, and some, like this one, are very easy to make. However, that doesn’t make it any less delicious. This one gets made frequently in our house, and doesn’t last long! I use a blend of white and milk chocolate because I feel that creates a perfect complement to the baileys, and the amaretti biscuits.

This is the sort of recipe that can be easily adapted with all sorts of different flavours, as long as you retain the same ratio of chocolate to cream, and don’t add too much of any ingredient that contains a lot of water, as this could affect the ability of the chocolate and cream to blend together smoothly. I’ve included some other varieties we frequently indulge ourselves in at the end of the recipe, which will hopefully spur you on to dream up your own concoctions.

An Assortment Of Healthy Chocolate Sites Online

Hey, I’ll admit it, I absolutely love chocolate! Chocolate chips, chocolate cookies, and chocolate milk are just a few of my favorites. However, did you know that regular milk chocolate and white chocolate are rather unhealthy for you? Do you also know that dark chocolate has been scientifically proven, time and time again, to be healthier than the other two chocolates? It’s true! Chocolate is one of the most popular “treats” around the world, from the USA, to the UK to Germany and all the way around. Just to give you a little idea of just how popular chocolate is, retailers say that on average in the United States over $13 billion dollars is spent each year on just chocolate products! That’s pretty amazing!

A study in the Journal Of The American Medical Association states that one bite or less than a quarter ounce of dark chocolate per day can lower blood pressure and lower cholesterol. It has also been proven to make you feel happier as it stimulates the endorphin productions, and it contains serotonin which acts as a self antidepressant. According to most researchers they say that consumers should look for cacao percentages of 65% or higher for health benefits. So where exactly can you find sites online that offer this type of chocolate with that amount of cacao? Well, you’re in luck! Listed below I have come up with three websites you can find online, and all of them offer this “healthy” chocolate. The first one is my absolute favorite but, all of these chocolates are good as well!
